Can you post GameMaker games on website?

Jeff M

I've been messing with Gamemaker for a while and I was creating a website so I can post these games. But I just wanted to know if I can post these type of games on a website

Answer
Your question is a little unclear.

If you mean "Is it possible to post GameMaker games on a website for people to download and play?" then the answer is yes. When you have created your finished game (using 'Create Executable...' from the 'File' menu) then you can publish it on your website in the same way you would host any other file. I would suggest that you compress the game executable and any external resources into a Zip archive and make that available to download.

If you mean "Is it possible to include GameMaker games on a website for people to play online?" then the answer is no.

If you mean "Am I allowed to post GameMaker games on a website?" then the answer is yes. From the GameMaker manual:

"...Once you have created a stand-alone executable in the way described above you can give this file to other people or place it on your website to download. You are free to distribute the games you create with Game Maker in any way you like. You can even sell them. This of course assumes that the sprites, images, and sounds you use can be distributed or sold as well. See the enclosed license agreement for more information. "

who has the best?

also, what do you think of lebron's 'post' game? i think he's good, though he thinks way too much and doesn't utilize the pump fake at all AND more importantly, all he does is the high post. post game is more than that. lets see some hooks and moves down low

I'm starting a video game website, and there's lots of good images and what not of video games posted on google images, but I'm not sure if I can legally use these or not on my own website. And if I can, do I need to add some special note by the image? And if I can't do this, then how do I get the pictures for my website? All answers are appreciated, thanks.

Answer
I think it may be alright if you mirror the image

if you also give credit to the respective owners, saying this material belongs to (whoever) all rights to (whoever)

There are two options- you could buy a video capture card (which run for as low as around eighty dollars), or if it's on a computer you could download a program like ScreenFlow.
Hope this helped!
