Q. which ones you think "ROCK!!!!!"?
Answer
It's old now, but when Quake III Arena came out on Dreamcast it was awesome, took multiplayer gaming to a new level and online gaming too. Newer games may have surpassed it in graphics and better net play but I'm a sentimental boy and for playability and addictiveness Quake III certainly rocked

Can the Dreamcast still go online?

Hamurger T
I've heard it can go online still if your on a private server, how would you go about getting on one of those?
Answer
The following games are still online playable for the Sega Dreamcast
Starlancer
Quake III arena (NTSC version only)
4x4 evolution
Phantasy Star online
Phantasy star online version 2
Maximum Pool
Sega Swirl
For Starlancer and Quake III arena you can just put the game in and play online right away however you are unlikely to find any opponents. Quake III often does not scan the master list so you may need the IP address of a server to manually input.
4x4 server is now hosted by the PC community the game is cross compatible with PC so mostly you will see PC players online.
Phantasy star online and version 2 have privately hosted servers. The main one is the SCHTHACK server just put that into google and you will find it. That has instructions on how to get online but bear in mind this is just like old PSO with hackers dupers and cheat all over the place. There a more private servers where genuine players play. See onlineconsoles link below.
Maximum pool Requires a modified save file to be saved to the VMU before you can take the game online again, you can get that at the onlineconsoles link below.
Sega swirl is an email based game, you need a friend to play and a POP3 email address.
Link here will give you all the information you will ever need to know about Dreamcast online plus all the people who know about DC online and still play it are located here www.onlineconsoles.com
