So far only the Detroit Tigers have their ticket for the series, so they are waiting on the winner of the Cardinals and the Giants. Not sure who will be favored you might think the Cardinals should they make it, they only need 1 more win to get their ticket for the series that starts on Wednesday. At this point a team needs to win 4 games against another to make to the World Series. The Tigers earned their ticket by sweeping the New York Yankees.

Ah yes I remember that one well. The Portland Volcano (formerly the Kansas City Royals) beat the Cubs in game 7 with a walk-off home run by 49 year old pitcher Jaime Moyer. This ended the the chances of the Cubs winning their 4th straight World Series Title.

Assuming you're referring to Game 4 and assuming the game started at it's advertised time of 8:07 pm EDT, per the attached the official length of the game was 3 hours and 34 minutes. So it ended at 11:41 pm EDT (8:41 pm PDT)

Attached schedule shows Sunday's Game 4 First Pitch start time as 8:15 pm EDT. Length of game = 3 hours and 34 minutes + 8:15 = end time of 11:49 EDT (8:49 pm PDT).

According to Alyson Footer of MLB.com, the WS has reached a 3-0 advantage 23 times prior to 2012.

Twenty of them ended in Game 4.
The other three, in Game 5.

Never gone to six or seven.

It would be 7 straight losses in the World Series if they lose on Sunday. Games 3, 4, and 5 in 2006 then 1, 2, 3, and 4 in 2012.
