i need help i want to go to school for animation does anyone know any schools here in louisville Ky for it?

Q. please someone help

Answer
I've included the links to the college's programs according to the number.
1. Jefferson Community & Technical College (Click on "Communication Arts Technology".)
109 East Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202
(502) 213-5333
If you click on "Communication Arts Technology", it'll automatically download a curriculum sheet, and as you can see on it, you'll take various 2D Animation classes, drawing classes, etc.

2. ITT Technical Institue-Louisville (Click on "Digital Entertainment & Game Design" under School of Drafting and Design or the orange tab)
9500 Ormsby Station Road, Suite 100
Louisville, KY 40223

3. University of Louisville (Click "Communication Art & Design")
Louisville, KY 40292
(800) 334-UofL (8635)
(502) 852-5555

These are basically your only choices for animation schools in Louisville, but if you're willing to drive, University of KY.
(502) 327-7424

Here's a site to check out: http://www.technical-schools-guide.com/kentucky-animation-graphic-design-schools.html

You should also consider online schools like Full Sail University, Art Institute, Rasmussen College, Westwood College, and Post University.

Chicago Bears bar in Louisville, KY?

ukcats2123

Does anyone know of a bar in Louisville where Bears fans go for games?

Answer
There was a small group of Bears fans that used to hang at Big Dave's Oasis on Bardstown Road in the Highlands.
I usually just go to Wick's on Baxter since they have the "ticket" and I can watch all the games at once.
Tons of Bengals fans there. Loud but harmless!

Im going down to Louisville Ky to stay with my brother over a weekend and i want to go check out a cool city as an end of summer vacation. Is Nashville a cool city I should go check out. What is there to do for one day. Or is there any other cities around Louisville that would be more exciting to check out?
Thanks

Answer
Louisville is a great city to visit and there is a lot to do and lots of great places to eat.

Some interesting, unique places you might want to visit are Churchill Downs, where the KY Derby is held and the Louisville Slugger Bat museum where they make the famous bats. You could take a ride on the Belle of Louisville which is a beautiful old steamboat or a horse drawn carriage ride through downtown.

If you are into sports, you might check University of Louisville athletics to see if the Cardinals have a home game. They are currently ranked in the top 10 in the nation in football.

If you like the artistic scene, you might want to check out the Bardstown Rd area in the Highlands. There are many unique stores, restaurants and bars in that area.

If you are over 21 you can go to 4th Street Live. There are lots of different clubs there. There is a new club that just opened over on Dixie Highway called Electric Cowboy and that is cool too. There is also Caesars Indiana, a riverboat casino that is right across the river.

If you want to shop, there are several malls to choose from. The Summit over off Brownsboro Rd is really nice. It is an upscale, outdoor mall. Mall St. Matthews & Oxmoor Mall are also very nice.

A really great and unique restaurant in Louisville that I recommend is Lynn's Paradise Cafe on Barrett Ave. This restaurant was featured on Food Network's Throwdown with Bobby Flay. Lyn's breakfast beat him! The food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. Captian's Quarters is also nice. You can have a dinner cruise on the river.

Here are some websites for Louisville that you might like to look at.

www.LouisvilleKy.gov (city website)

www.velocityweekly.com (local "what's happening" paper)

I hope that you enjoy your visit to Lousiville!
By the way-Nashville, TN is about 3 hours from Louisville.

How was the mayor of Louisville Kentucky sold on building one of the countries best skate parks?

Matt J

I live in Cleveland where the population is nearly two times that of Louisville KY, yet our public skatepark is about 1/100th the size of the one in Louisville!

Answer
ESPN contacted then-Mayor Armstrong about holding their Extreme Games trials in Louisville as a part of the Kentucky Derby Festival. The X-trials had record turnouts and ESPN wanted to come back for the B3 games.

Since Louisville had been trying in recent years to have more attractions for younger residents, plans for the Louisville Extreme Park were made. Since the park would both attract younger residents as well as national sports tours, the decision was made to build it.

The 40,000 square foot Louisville Extreme Park is currently only â complete. It is unknown when, or if, the remaining 20,000 square foot indoor portion that was originally planned for will be completed. One reason is because a set of parents left their 11-year old child unsupervised while not wearing a helmet (which is against park rules), resulting in the child suffering a brain injury and the city paying $1.5 million to settle the lawsuit; another reason is higher operating expenses than planned for, mostly due to high incidences of vandalism at the park.
