I was wondering is its possible to mod a game on an online account on xbox but say like mod gta 4 or somegame that is singleplayer all i want is to mod singleplayer and not multiplayer will i get banned ??

As long as you aren't moding in multiplayer, you should be fine. The game publishers/developers have no way of knowing unless they programmed the game to detect when changes to it's code are made in singleplayer and then send them a report via the internet. Even if they did know, why would they care? You can probably get away with mods that let you fire single shot weapons as full auto assault rifles on games like Call of Duty without being banned. Although, I wouldn't mod in multiplayer AT ALL. Don't risk it.
As for GTA 4, there are several mods for computer that I know of that work in both multiplayer and singleplayer... Car Spawning, Godmode, No Clipping etc. Which is actually quite fun :3 especially when people get really pissed at you and say they're going to report you. Which you laugh at because you know they actually cant.

Why do I Have to plug my xbox directly into my modem to play GTA IV Online?

Every other game i can play with my xbox into my router... but whenever i try to get online with GTA IV it says diconnected from game session... returning to single player. Its really annoying. So i found the only way i can play is by hooking it up through my modem. Is there any way i can play through my brand new, linksys by cisco router?
