Why did the Games Workshop in Colorado close?

John

I'm looking to get into Warhammer or 40k, I used to see people playing at the Colorado Mills location but it's closed now.

Why? And where else can I go? I really don't want to start if there's not a healthy wargaming community... Anyplace near Littleton?

Answer
i use to frequent that shop in the mills for years, It had a large following of loyal customers and wasn't losing money.

they closed in July of 2009? i believe. they had scheduled to re-open a Colorado store in the Bel-mar area of Lakewood but that seems to has fallen thru. they had applications open for both manger and hobby specialist in early 2011, but sense has removed them( i personally applied got a couple interviews) after the 2nd one they were suppose to send a yes or no, but got nothing.

rumors of why they closed had more to do with the Colorado mills mall its self and the fact that it was isolated to any other store in the US.

corrent LGS that have 40k and warhammer nights are(of the top of my head)
Valhalla's- wheat ridge
black knight?- confier
Enchanted grounds- highlands ranch
Colpar hobbys west - littleton?

you can search for stores thru the Gamesworkshop sight.
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/storelocator/results.jsp?searchCat=store-finder&showIndependantRetailers=on&searchMode=filter&searchFilter=CO&origin=&return=null

there are a good number of gaming clubs around you just have to search and call/ vist your local gaming store to ask when players meet.

fort colins and Colorado springs have a larger amount of game stores if your willing to travel, and are usually where the tournaments for ardboys are.

Does Games Workshop allow students to take work practice programs in Finland?

Roni S

Im having my work practice program started in 7 days, i wanna know if Games Workshop is able to let me participate in a work practice program in Finland?

Answer
Try contacting Games Workshop through their careers site here:- http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=4300002

Most large companies have some form of internship in place and with over £100 million turnover I guess we could regard GW as a large company.

You could join the Battle Reporter forum :- http://battlereporter.freeforums.org which has a couple of ex GW staff. They might be able to help.

Good luck,
Sigmar
