Q. I want a new video game but i dont have xbox live. It would be pointless to get MW3 and some other games. I got sports games so i want a shooting one and one that you can play forever without getting bored. So is battlefield 3 a good game without online play?

no.. without online play even mw3 would be better because of spec ops and campaign but mw3's multiplayer sucks.
so if you dont have xbl dont get bf3.. since bf3 only has campaign and multiplayer and the campaign is quite short..
check out skyrim if you havent already or mgs hd collection for many many hours of gameplay without need of multiplayer

Yes they can still catch you if you are not careful. The Xbox uses flags when it detects some thing wrong with the Wave file, or other disc security.
