I <3 Pit
I REALLY REALLY want to try. It's a bit far-fetched and I know it'll take a very long time, but I wanna try, so I'm asking.
I want the game to be like Harvest Moon: Animal Parade and add in some things of my own. I'm still baffled on how to program things like the stages of farming (going from a sprout to a full plant), specific events (like festivals and dating events), a gift giving and cooking system etc.I'm trying to learn...but anyway, that's beside the point.
I want a game engine that can do all that, and what coding language to use. I heard that javascript is easy, but there's something called C# that works better for game programming?
I was thinking of using Unity3D or XNA to attempt this, but what do you think? I don't want the graphics to be all that realistic either.
Any and all serious suggestions would be really helpful x3
Thank you in advance

Introduction to Game Programming...sometimes it would be better to get a good book for game programming because it would show step by step on how to produce a good video game and some of these books include a free or trial program like BlitzBasic, Blitz3d, C# language and etc. which would allow you to create some simple 2D or 3D video games

I need to stream games using Xsplit.?
Frik
I understand that I have to enable the game source, that I have to add the executable file from the add games menu, but every time I click add games, even with the game open, Xsplit doesn't register a thing and tells me that I have to click in the window of the game to add it. I don't know how to get this damned program to use the game as the source of video, and since the game I'm trying to play does not have an option for windowed mode, no program I try to use will pick it up and broadcast it. What do I do?
Answer
If the game you're playing only has fullscreen mode, then yes it will require game capture. Are you using the free version of Xsplit? For the best support, I would check out the XSplit forums. Any time I run into issues, their staff and members are able to help with pretty much any issue. I would give more information though, what game, all of your computer specs, etc. You already have an account since you're able to use the program.
