Top Playstation 3 Games? (Personal Lists wanted)?

James - TH

Please don't list top games, rather list the games that you've enjoyed the most, or played the most.

Please put a short description on why you like the game
*Please do not state the obvious, i.e. Call of Duty series, GTA, Street Fighter etc..

I'm looking for more obscure games that are still great.

Answer
Games that already exist.

My personal faves are:

Resident evil 5, i loved it even though its not survival/horror anymore

Killzone 2 is the most amazing games with graphics, story mode and gameplay. You will seriously love it... i play the demo 1 every week.

Metal Gear Solid 4(MGS4): Very tactical game, good graphics, fine controllers, awesome story (can you believe the ending is like 1 hour... seriously im not even joking).

You will seriously like this games specially if you like shooters

Even if you said three im gonna give you 2 more in case you dont like shooters...

SoulCalibur 4: good fighting, awesome graphics+moves and excellent character costumization.

And for racing....

MOTORSTORM: All out racing, fun online, nice crash scenes.

Hope my answer is complete enough...

My PSN is: Andres2013... in case you have online and you want to play.

Can anyone tell me a list of best games for Xbox 360!?!?

Nicholas A

I want to buy Xbox 360 games that contains LONGER STORY MORE FUN, MORE CHALLENGING, LESS-BORING, and most important part is MORE-ADDICTIVE!!! I played Gears of War and it does impressed me, but disappointed about the story is little bit short and easily to beat this game on hardcore mode! I know Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion and already owned for PC. I owned Dead or Alive 4 and it is very fun, but ended up having my own anger problems about losing very much. So Can anyone tell me a list of best games for Xbox 360?

Answer
I know what you mean. I prefer games with more indepth story-lines, I absolutly love the Elder Scroll series in that respect. OK so, here are a list of my recomendations, I have all of them, ( or plan to when they come out).

As you've already got Gears of War, and Oblivion I'll not include them, although they are two of my favourite games.

1. Crackdown - It's not a bad game. Extremely like GTA or Saints Row, but with enough differences to make it interesting. It's a free form world, so you can run, jump, drive and shoot your heart out. As your skills increase you are able to do increasingly impressive stuff, like jump of skyscrapers, and pick up and throw cars.

2. Saints Row - This is again another urban based open world game, in the style of GTA. It is a dirtier version though, with you being a gang member fighting other gangs for control of the city. The character is very customisable with plastic surgery, outfits, peircings, tattoos, and hair cuts all available which is cool if you're into changing your look often.

3. Hitman Blood Money - I dig this game. The story line is interesting, and game play is pretty easy. Its fun in that there are so many ways you can decide to take out your intended targets.

4. Gun - If you dig the oblivion/GTA style games, then this will appeal. It's kind pretty much an open world game, but set in the late 1800's. The story is engaging, and there are a heap of side missions away from the main quest to help with skill development. You get to ride horses, and shoot people, what more could you ask for.

5. Prey - This game did my head in. It's a First Person Shooter, with indians, and alien abduction. It is a fantastic story, the graphics are excellent, and the best part, after a while, you can't die! So no matter what they throw at you, you will always suvive, which makes fighting 'boss' stage creatures a cooler, cause you don't have to worry about death, you just get resurected, and keep kicking butt. Plus the use of gravitational devices in this game, means you'll oftenend up walking up walls, or on the celing, to get where you need to go. It's not your standard FSP either, there are a whole lot of challenges, and puzzels to make it interesting.

6. Tomb Raider Legend - This is the first time Lara Croft has made it to the xbox, and she doesn't disappoint. The game is level based third person shooter, with a heap of puzzels, traps and triggers to figure out to move forward. There is a lot of athletic work involved, so you run, jump climb, swing and flip your way through the levels. In between levels you can take a break and explore Croft Mansion for hidden extras. The story is cool, and the combination of puzzels, and combat should keep you entertained.

7. Dead Rising - This game is extremely amusing. You are a photojournalist who's covering a story of a mass zombie outbreak in a town, you get trapped in the mall. It's an open plan game, but with a story line that has a time limit. There are certain things you have to do, or places you ahve to go at certain times to advance the story. Depending on how well you do, will depend on the outcome/ending of the game you get. The story is cool if you choose to do the main quests/timeline, but it's well worth it to just run round beating up zombies, and take pictures of them.

8. Halo 3 - It's a while off still, but from all reports, and trailers I've seen it should rock. I mean lets face it, Halo was probably the reason a lot of people get an xbox to start with.

9. Grand Theft Auto IV - As with Halo3, it's not out yet, but it's coming soon, and looks like it'll be amazing!

10 Assasins Creed - Not out yet, but it's coming this year by all reports. It's an open plan game like GTA or Oblivion, that tells the story/follows an assasin from the 1100's. I've seen pics, and read a lot of good reviews about this one. It's on my list of games to buy this year, along with GTAIV and Halo3.

I don't know if that'll help but maybe it'll point you in the direction of a few titles that might appeal to you.
